The Delhi High Court has directed the All India Institute of Medical Sciences to constitute a medical board to examine Jaideep Singh Senger, a convict in the Unnao custodial death case, who has sought suspension of his sentence on medical grounds.
The High Court directed the jail superintendent to produce Jaideep Sengar before the Medical Board at AIIMS on Thursday and ensure that "all necessary medical records available with the jail authorities are provided to the Board."
Kuldeep Singh Sengar is serving 10 years sentence in the custodial death case and a life sentence in the minor rape case. His appeals in both cases are pending before the Delhi High Court.
The Delhi High Court has refused to suspend the sentence (bail) to Jaideep Singh Senger during pendency of appeal in Unnao Rape Victim father's custodial death. The high court dismissed the plea noting that he remained in judicial custody for three years only.
