The Indo-Israel Centre of Excellence for Mango in Talala town in Gujarat's Gir Somnath district is providing training to farmers on high-density mango plantation and farming, a method already popular in countries like Israel and Australia.
Protected cultivation, drip irrigation and fertigation, canopy management, nursery production, and Integrated Pest Management technologies are demonstrated at the centres and later adopted by the farmers to increase their yields and income.
