Both Joshna and Anahat were a part of India's squad, which made history by securing its first-ever Squash World Cup title by blanking Hong Kong in the final this week.
This win marked India's massive improvement in Squash World Cup record, with their previous best being a bronze medal in the 2023 edition, as per Olympics.com.
The Indian squash team, second-seeded in the competition, outclassed two-time champions Egypt, who had lifted the title in 2012 and 2023, by 3-0 in the semifinals to reach the finals for the first time in history.
India started their Squash World Cup stint by defeating Hong Kong 4-0 in a Pool B match. They defeated South Africa 4-0 in the second match and entered and semi-final. They also defeated Japan in their final Pool match to win all three matches of the Pool stage.
Chennai is currently hosting the Squash World Cup 2023. After a lengthy absence of 12 years, the team championship is back for its fourth iteration, which will run until June 17
