The Indian side was led by Sanjay Verma, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs. The Lithuanian side was led by Egidijus Meilunas, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, MEA said in an official release.
The Lithuanian embassy has taken a proactive role in fostering this connection, organising a series of lectures by Sanskrit scholar Vytis Vidunas to unveil the intriguing similarities shared by the languages.
To further showcase this linguistic similarity Lithuanian Embassy in New Delhi has initiated a street art project in collaboration with Delhi Street Art, the Harcourt Butler school in Delhi and the winner of the Young Lithuanian Artist Talent Award, Linas Kaziulionis.
