Agricultural exports in April-June 2024 dropped by 3 per cent due to the Red Sea crisis. According to the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), agri exports during this period were USD 5886.81 million, compared to USD 6083.83 million a year ago.
India's agricultural exports rose 6.04 per cent during April-January of the current financial year to worth USD 43.37 billion. During the same period last year, it was USD 40.90 billion.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Monday put out a statement highlighting the initiatives and milestones of APEDA in the trade of India's agricultural produce.
The overall value of export of agricultural products increased to USD 19.7 billion in April-December 2022 from USD 17.5 billion over the same period of the last fiscal.
