The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Thursday informed the Lahore High Court (LHC) that there was no ban on broadcasting former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan's speeches, Dawn newspaper reported.
The LHC registrar's office has fixed the plea for hearing and Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan will take it up tomorrow. Khan in the plea, named PEMRA and the authority's director (operations, broadcast media) as respondents.
Pakistan government on Saturday instructed the media regulatory to lift the ban on channels from broadcasting or rebroadcasting PTI Chairman Imran Khan's press conferences.
