Speaking at the event as quoted by ICC, Shah said, "The return of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 to India comes at a defining moment for the women's game, setting the stage for a truly world-class tournament that will further elevate the sport's global stature.
The warm-up matches will take place until September 28 and give all eight teams involved in the tournament some game time ahead of the showpiece event, set to take place from September 30 to November 2, as per the ICC.
Having last played for the White Ferns in December, in an ODI against Australia, the New Zealand veteran is set to return to the national side for the T20I series against Australia, which begins in Auckland on Friday.
