Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Trichy Central Secretary Vairamani on Wednesday slammed the Central Government over Hindi imposition in Tamil Nadu, saying that the government has been constantly imposing the Hindi language in the state.
Amid renewed allegations of "Hindi imposition" by the Centre, cadres of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Wednesday smeared black paint over Hindi transliterations of Tamil names at a Railway office in Tiruchirappalli.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday again accused the Central government of "imposing hindi" in the state, this time under the guise of the "one language, three scripts" approach.
"Modi-Amit Shah politics will not work in Tamil Nadu. This election is a war between Tamil Nadu and Delhi. It is an election between social justice and social injustice, between the Tamil language and the imposition of Hindi," he said.
