Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam in March to lay the foundation stone for the highly anticipated Silchar-Shillong-Guwahati high-speed corridor.
Assam Chief Minister Sarma said that the much-awaited Guwahati Ring Road project will connect the city with Darrang and Morigaon districts, taking the region's development to new heights.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement on Wednesday that the ring road in Guwahati will be developed at a total cost of Rs 5,729 crore on Build Operate Toll (BOT) Mode with zero grant.
