The recruits, who swore allegiance to the Indian Republic, underwent rigorous training for over 31 weeks in various aspects of physical fitness, battle and field craft, weapons, and tactics.
Anir Van Datta, Commandant of the 39 Gorkha Training Centre, said the batch underwent 31 weeks of training, starting from October 26, 2024. The training included both basic and advanced military preparation and covered modern technology and weapon systems.
In an impressive ceremony marked by immaculate turnout a total of six Agniveer Recruits took the 'Oath of Affirmation' administered by the Adjutant. These agniveers will subsequently undergo the passing out parade before being despatched to their units to protect and serve the motherland.
Ahead of the country's 74th Republic Day celebrations, the 58 Gorkha Training Centre in Shillong conducted a mini-marathon. Combined with the mini-marathon on January 21 was an equipment and weapon display, which was held on Thursday.
