Food insecurity in Afghanistan is on the rise, according to the Food and Agriculture Organisation and the World Food Programme, resulting in Afghanistan emerging as one of eight nations whose citizens suffer from acute food insecurity, TOLOnews said in its report.
Expressing distress over the crisis, the report stated that the drought in the past three years in Afghanistan and the economic crisis over the past two years have increased the needs of the people of the country.
