Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders on Sunday for allegedly playing "dirty politics" over sensitive incidents, including the blast incident reported near a school in Rohini and other firing incidents.
India saw its first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 on Friday, where an aggregate 60.03 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 7 pm. Whereas a few areas in West Bengal and Manipur witnessed spordic incidents of violence and firing incidents.
According to officials, a Levies force official was killed and his wife was injured after some unknown assailants barged into their residence in the Johan area of Mangochar town of Kalat district and opened fire.
The situation is tense in some parts with sporadic incidents of firing, but is normal in most districts in Manipur, said an official statement from Manipur police.
Police officers said two people were killed when unidentified men opened fire at a car near a petrol pump in Gulshan-e-Surjani. Those killed have been identified as Babar and Naseem.
Levies officials said three people were killed and two others were injured after some unidentified armed men opened fire on a convoy of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sardar Asadullah Shahwani in Kalat district
Aslam Baloch was seriously injured in the firing and immediately taken to hospital where he was referred to Multan. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
