According to Pranab Jyoti Goswami, CPRO of Assam police, the arrested police officers have been identified as Shiddhartha Buragohain, IPS, the then Superintendent of Police of Bajali district and Pushkal Gogoi, APS, the then Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ).
