Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Sunday made an unscheduled visit to the State Emergency Control Room this morning to gather information personally about the widespread rainfall situation in the state.
Atishi said that a combined Emergency Control Room of all water-related departments like Delhi Jal Board, Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Irrigation and Flood Control Department will be formed, which will monitor waterlogging 24 hours a day and take action.
The Sealdah division has set up Emergency control rooms from May 25 to May 27 and installed pumps at all critical places to mitigate water logging. Public announcements were also made frequently at all stations, the Railways said.
Speaking to ANI, Shivaji Sutar said, "Disaster Management room has been activated and field staff has been put on alert mode. Emergency control rooms have been opened in Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Ahmedabad and Gandhidham. Additional helpline numbers have also been activated".
