The government on Friday approved the third tranche of projects under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), as part of its continued push to strengthen India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister appreciated the Union Government's initiatives, especially the launch of the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), which is pivotal to realising India's vision of becoming a global hub for electronics production.
As the Union Budget 2025-26 nears, the Ministry of Finance has highlighted the significant Union Budget announcements, particularly focusing on the development of the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
Tamil Nadu Industries Minister TRB Raja, announcing the inauguration, emphasized that the facility will enhance the quality of life for women employed in the rapidly growing manufacturing sector in the region, particularly in the electronics manufacturing ecosystem centred around Foxconn.
