The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially disqualified three Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers, including Senator of Punjab province Ejaz Chaudhry, following their convictions by an anti-terrorism court related to the May 9 riot case, The Express Tribune reported.
PTI Chairman Barrister Ghar Ali Khan filed a petition on Monday in the LHC against the ECP for conducting an inquiry into the party's elections, as per ARY News report
The Senate body's session held under the chair of Senator Mohammad Humayun Mohmand on Tuesday sought details regarding the salaries of the electoral watchdog members and employees, as well as their travel expenses and the expenditures for the February 8 nationwide polls.
