Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Thursday highlighted the concerns regarding the Baby Ariha case and said that the German authorities have granted counsellor access to Baby Ariha.
The Indian diaspora including small kids in the United Kingdom raised their voices to advocate for the repatriation of an Indian baby named Ariha Shah, who is in German foster care, to India and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter.
"We will go to the German embassy. We will request the German ambassador that 15th August is coming and every Indian has the right to celebrate it. We will ask him to let Ariha celebrate the Indian independence day. She should not be deprived of her cultural identity," Dhara Shah said whi
The child, Ariha Shah, was accidentally hurt by her grandmother in September 2021 following which the German authorities took the baby away. She is currently under German foster care.
Dhara Shah, the mother of baby girl Ariha Shah, on Friday said that she trusts the Government of India adding that if there will be a Prime Minister-level intervention in the case then her daughter can return to India.
Battling to get legal custody of their Indian toddler, who is currently in the custody of German foster care, her parents made a desperate plea to the authorities in a bid to bring their baby back home to India.
