The sub-inspector, who was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in the Dausa district of Rajasthan, has been suspended, police informed on Saturday.
Taking cognisance of the arrest of a police officer for allegedly raping a minor girl in Dausa, the chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), Priyank Kanoongo said a notice was being issued to the Rajasthan government in the matter.
Taking to Twitter, NCW said, "NCW strongly condemns the horrific incident in Rajasthan where 4 people, including a six-month-old, were burnt to death. Taking suo motu cognizance, NCW has contacted the DGP Rajasthan urging prompt action on this tragic matter".
