Delhi recorded 113 new coronavirus cases with a positivity rate of 8.21 per cent and three Covid-linked death on Saturday, according to data shared by the government's health department.
Delhi reported 1,634 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours with the positivity rate standing at 29.68 per cent, the state health department said in a bulletin on Sunday.
A total of 909 patients have successfully recovered from Covid. A total of 5499 tests were conducted out of which 1594 were rapid antigen tests," the health bulletin mentioned.
The national capital has reported 509 new Covid cases with a sudden jump in the positivity rate at 26.54 per cent, according to a daily bulletin issued by the Delhi Health Department on Wednesday.
"521 people have tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Delhi in the last 24 hrs. The national capital currently has 1,710 active cases of Covid-19," officials said.
"There is no need to worry right now but we are taking the necessary steps on time. Till now three deaths have been confirmed, two deaths on Wednesday and one death before that," the CM said adding that these deaths could probably be due to comorbidities and COVID-19 incidentals.
It stated further that a total of 1,222 recoveries were made from the virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,41,66,925.
Amid the uptick in COVID cases in the national capital, a health expert has said that carelessness by the people is the main reason behind it and there is a need to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour.
