India logged 801 new COVID-19 cases and 1,815 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare bulletin said on Monday. With this, total Covid Recoveries stand at 4,44,35,204 and active caseload, which is 0.03% of the total reported cases, stand at 14,493.

Amid rising Coronavirus cases across the country, the West Bengal government issued a Covid-19 advisory on Tuesday. It advises people to avoid mass gatherings especially by the elderly, children, pregnant women and persons with co-morbidities.
Amid a nationwide upward trend in the COVID cases, Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a review meet with the health ministers of all states and Union Territories on Friday afternoon, sources said.
"We need to remain alert but there is no need to worry. Currently, the sub-variant of Omicron which is circulating in the country hasn't increased hospitalisations," Mandaviya said.
