Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's wife, Gurpreet Kaur, praised the state's budget on Women's Day, calling it historic for its focus on female empowerment.

Addressing a press conference in Bathinda, Mann said, "BJP is doing politics of religion, politics of hatred. They are attempting to incite religious sentiments in Punjab through actions which could not even be thought of."
Sidhu warned that any threat to his safety would be the Chief Minister's responsibility and questioned the lack of response to issues he had earlier raised with the Punjab Governor.
The AICC secretary said CM Mann's claim that the Centre has withdrawn the proposed 131st Constitutional Amendment on Chandigarh is "misleading and baseless". He questioned how Mann, who himself served as a Member of Parliament for eight years, could make such assertions.
"A heritage street will be built in Anandpur Sahib. You will soon witness a major transformation in the city. Anandpur Sahib has been granted holy city status, and now it is our responsibility to preserve and uphold its sanctity...," CM Mann told a gathering here.
