Azad Samaj Party-Kanshi Ram (ASP) president Chandrashekhar Azad claimed that the central government has decided to include a caste count in the upcoming census due to the Bihar elections, and it may change its stance after the elections.
Speaking to reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence, Shivakumar said, "Rahul Gandhi has said that the caste census must be time-bound. The Centre must set a deadline to finish this activity."
Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said on Saturday that the BJP has to take a U-turn on its stand on caste census under pressure from the people. However, he added that the party has yet to make its stand clear on the subject.
