Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole on Monday accused BJP of undermining democracy out of fear of defeat and urged the Election Commission to maintain its independence from central government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday arrived at the BJP headquarters to attend the party's Central Election Committee meeting for the Haryana Assembly Polls 2024.
Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai expressed gratitude, stating, "Chhattisgarh is fortunate to have a double-engine government, and we have received a significant amount of 4842 crore in tax devolution."
The Rajasthan Assembly consists of 200 constituencies that will be contested. Since its formation, the state has been dominated by the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Congress secured a victory in the last elections in 2018 with 101 seats.
The meeting was chaired by BJP national president JP Nadda at party headquarters in Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and all the members of the Central Election Committee were present at the meeting.
