BSF Meghalaya, successfully seized 22 cattle (buffaloes) along with five Indian nationals near the international border in the West Jaintia Hills District on March 25.
BSF Meghalaya thwarted cattle smuggling attempts by rescuing 27 cattle (oxen and buffaloes) from the International Border of Meghalaya on Sunday, BSF said in a press release.
"During this operation, six Indian nationals involved in cattle smuggling were also apprehended. The seized cattle and apprehended persons were handed over to the police station at Dalu for further legal action," the PRO added.
