Discounts in the automobile sector are expected to trend down across key segments as the recent GST cuts are likely to lift demand, according to a report by Motilal Oswal.
As per the industry data, the spike highlights a significant rise in consumer demand for four-wheelers during the festive period, despite a modest year-on-year growth of just 1.8 per cent in the broader passenger vehicle sector, which recorded a total of 401,447 units.
The demand for the passenger vehicle and commercial vehicles moderated in October while the demand of two wheelers and tractors showed positive momentum, highlighted a report by Motilal Oswal.
