One person was killed and two were injured after their car collided with a truck near the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation building on Thursday night.
According to Punjab police, "The incident took place early in the morning at 2:00 am near Mehlan Chowk in Sunam Taluk of Sangrur district. The six passengers were returning after paying obeisance at the Dargah of Baba Haider Sheikh in Malerkotla."
Rawat's car on Tuesday collided with a divider at Bazpur while he was traveling from Haldwani to Udham Singh Nagar's Kashipur on Tuesday. In a post on social media app X, Rawat said he felt mild tremors after the collision, following which he got himself checked up in a hospital.
According to officials, five youths who were travelling in a car which collided head on with a container. They had gone to drop a friend home, and were returning when the accident took place, they said.
The accident occurred under Birsinghpur Pali police station limits in the district at around 12:30 am on Monday. There were five persons travelling in the car and three persons died on the spot and two died while undergoing treatment.
The victims were travelling from Mumbai to Gujarat when the driver lost control of the car, resulting in it crossing the divider and colliding with the truck that was coming in the opposite direction, the police said.
According to police, those who were apprehended were residents of the Medavakkam area, a southern suburb of Chennai and were visiting Puducherry as tourists.
"A heavy collision between a truck and a car happened near Vishnoda on NH11B of Sadar Thana area. Four devotees died and four others were seriously injured," the police official said.
