Canadian High Commissioner to India, Cameron MacKay has reacted to the recent incident of Khalistani supporters putting up imagery to glorify former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assassination, and said that "promotion of violence" is "never acceptable" in Canada.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Tuesday summoned the Canadian High Commissioner to India Cameron MacKay. The High Commissioner was seen visitng the MEA headquarters at South Block, New Delhi.
"The Kingdom extends its deepest condolences to the families and relatives of the deceased, and to the friendly Indian people, and wishes the injured a speedy recovery," it added.
Foreign envoys on Monday extended their deep condolences to India on the loss of precious lives in the tragic incident of the bridge collapse in Morbi, Gujarat.
