Bharatiya Janata party leader Niranjan Shetty on Sunday assured action against those responsible for the stampede at Mumbai's Bandra terminus that injured nine people.
In light of the stampede that took place at the Bandra railway station on Sunday that injured nine people, the Western Railways has imposed temporary restrictions on the sale of platform tickets at several stations in Mumbai division to manage crowd during festivals.
Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that the recent stampede at Mumbai's Bandra Terminus station is an example of "India's crumbling infrastructure," adding that the country needs "international-class infrastructure."
Thane Central Railway Deputy Commissioner Manoj Nana Patil on Sunday said that the stampede at the Bandra Terminus happened due to rush because of the festivals and the train being unreserved.
