Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attended the 'Bagurumba Dwhou 2026', the traditional Bodo Cultural Programme, in Assam's Guwahati, where he tried his hand at the Serja, a traditional musical instrument.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to be in Assam from January 17 to 18. During the visit, he will participate in a major cultural programme celebrating Bodo heritage at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.
Hailing the month-long dedication, discipline, and hard work of the artistes, the Chief Minister said that after the global success of Mega Bihu and Jhumoir, Assam is now ready to present the artistic and graceful Bagurumba dance of the Bodo community on the world stage.
