The Supreme Court on Tuesday refused to modify its November 2025 order directing the removal of stray dogs from public institutions such as hospitals, schools, colleges, bus stations and railway stations, while stressing that citizens have a right to live without the threat of dog attacks
The Chief Secretary of Delhi has been requested to convene a meeting with stakeholders, including the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI), to devise a policy for the relocation and rehabilitation of stray dogs.
The Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) has announced its Prani Mitra and Jeev Daya Award Ceremony, scheduled to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on February 27, said an official release on Wednesday.
