India and Pakistan have decided to continue the confidence-building measures to reduce the alertness level on the border, said Indian Army sources on Thursday.
The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan held crucial talks on Monday at 5 pm and issues related to continuing the commitment that both sides must not fire a single shot or initiate any aggressive action were discussed
As per initial reports, the firing at the Bathinda Military Station appeared to be an internal issue since a rifle with ammunition had been missing for the last two days, Indian Army sources said.
According to the army sources, the operation has averted a major incident which could have been initiated by perpetrators using the weapons and the IED, funded by the narco terrorists.
