AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan on Tuesday lashed out at Tamil Nadu Congress President K Selvaperunthagai, calling him a "DMK spokesperson" who has pushed Congress into "darkness".
In a statement, Stalin urged the DMK workers to carry out his birthday celebrations by extending assistance to underprivileged and vulnerable sections of society, including poor women, the elderly, destitute persons, transgender individuals, and persons with disabilities.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday paid floral tribute to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) founder and former CM CN Annadurai on his 57th death anniversary at his Memorial at Marina Beach.
"This is the reason why we oppose Hindi imposition because it makes everybody a second-class citizen, and it takes away the cultural identity of a certain section of people, and that is the reason we opposed it, and there was a violent past to it," Annadurai told ANI.
Vijay also said that his party might win without any alliances. "This force of TVK will win even if no friendship force (alliance) is with us," he said.
Annadurai said that the party is controlled by the RSS, which he claimed is "worse than dynasty rule," while also accusing the NDA of betraying Tamil Nadu.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader Saravanan Annadurai launched a scathing attack on Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi after the latter walked out of the Assembly session, accusing him of behaving in a wayward manner.
"Actions of the Governor insults the 100-year-old assembly. I would like to recollect the phrase of CN Annadurai who said before that, "Why does a goat need a beard, and why does a state need a Governor?" Stalin said.
Speaking with ANI, he argued that since the incident occurred in Karur and the FIR was registered there, it's against criminal jurisprudence to summon people to Delhi.
