While addressing the 5th Rajbhasha Sammelan in Gandhinagar on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Shah said, "I always say that Hindi is not a competition to Indian languages. Hindi is a friend of Indian languages. There are no conflicts between Hindi and Indian languages."
"Swaraj, Swadharma, and Swabhasha--those who do not encompass these three cannot free their future generations from slavery. Therefore, the essence of Swaraj inherently includes Swabhasha," Amit Shah said.
Extending his best wishes to the countrymen on the occasion of Hindi Diwas, Shah mentioned that Hindi unites the diversity of languages in the world's largest democracy.
New Delhi [India] September 14 (ANI): As the country observed Hindi Diwas on Wednesday, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said Hindi is the friend of all Indian languages and it "unites the whole nation in a thread of unity" as an official language.
