The Indian Army also deployed several advanced defence weapons, which helped it gain an edge in the cross-firing from Pakistan after Operation Sindoor.
Following the Akhnoor encounter, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday said that encounters in the Union Territory keeps taking place, adding that "there is nothing new."
Major General, Indian Army, Sameer Shrivastava said on Tuesday that security forces used an unnamed vehicle and artificial intelligence during the encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor. Three terrorists have been killed during the operation.
The anti-terror operation was part of Indian security forces' counter-offensive Operation Asan, launched after terrorists attacked an Army convoy in the Battal area on October 28.
