India and Malaysia co-chaired the Asian Defence Ministers Meeting-Plus Expert Working Group Meeting on Counter Terrorism. During this meeting, the Malaysian Delegation head Dato' Muhamma Ammir Bin Haron said that Malaysia stands ready to work with India to ensure the region remains secure

The meeting came on the sidelines of the 12th ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus), where Singh addressed the forum on 'Reflection on 15 years of ADMM-Plus and Charting the Way Forward'.
Speaking at the 12th edition of the ADMM-Plus, Nordin stated that the forum has fostered cooperation and strengthened regional peace and security, while also highlighting the growing complexity of global challenges amid an increasingly volatile geopolitical landscape.
Addressing the milestone meeting under Malaysia's chairmanship, themed "Inclusivity and Sustainability", Singh said the forum, launched in Hanoi in 2010, has evolved from a dialogue platform into a "dynamic framework for practical defence cooperation".
