Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Ankit Kumar Singh on Tuesday said that police have taken action against the father of the juvenile accused in the Dwarka fatal road accident case under the Motor Vehicles Act (MV Act).
"The car hit an autorickshaw, and its speed increased. The car rammed into the bullet bike and hit a pole after that. After the accident, his (Shivam Mishra) bouncers broke the glass of the car and took him away. After some time, the police arrived and took the car to the police station.
"When Shivam's name comes up in our investigation, it means that we are satisfied that the driver was Shivam, so they can keep saying anything. We have CCTV footage. His name has been included in the FIR," he said.
In the Kanpur Lamborghini accident case, accused Shivam Mishra's lawyer, Mrityunjay Kumar, on Monday claimed that his client was not driving when the luxury car allegedly hit pedestrians and a motorcycle on VIP Road, injuring several people.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Danish Azad Ansari on Monday said that no one has the right to take the law into their own hands, adding that the incident is under investigation and strict action will be taken as per law, reacting to the Kanpur Lamborghini accident case.
