The 6-lane extradosed Prestressed Concrete (PSC) bridge, built at a cost of around Rs 3,030 crore, connects Guwahati with North Guwahati and is the first extradosed bridge in Northeast India.
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the 8.15 km long Aunta - Simaria bridge project on NH-31, including the 1.86 km long 6 lane Bridge on the river Ganga, constructed at a cost of over Rs 1,870 crore. It will provide direct connectivity between Mokama in Patna and Begusarai.
As per the government, the major impact of the project includes faster commute and better connectivity between the north and south ports of Bihar and will promote the socio-economic growth of the entire region.
New Delhi [India] June 6(ANI): The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the project for construction of 9.9 km long new 6 - lane bridge across river Ganga on NH - 96 at Phaphamau in Allahabad with the total capital cost of Rs. 1948.25 crore.
