Monaca (Pennsylvania) [USA], Dec 14 (ANI): At least two people were killed after a man opened fire on the Pennsylvania State University Beaver campus in Centre Township on Wednesday afternoon.
The Penn State Beaver campus in Monaca, located 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh, was placed on lockdown after officials said as many as 15 shots were fired near a dining hall just before 4 pm. The authorities, however, later announced that there was no further threat.
The shooting is being investigated as a murder-suicide, New York Daily News quoted investigators, as saying.
The official Twitter account of Penn State Beaver posted in a series of tweets: "01PSU AlertBR: Incident on campus. Police on scene. No threat at this time. Please avoid Student Union Bldg and Food Services area."
