United States, President, Donald Trump

Washington DC [United States], May 21 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump on Sunday (local time) said that he will officially demand Department of Justice (DoJ) to investigate whether it or the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) espionaged on his presidential campaign for political reasons.
"I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!," Trump tweeted.

The US president has purported that an FBI informant was embedded within his campaign. Without evidence, he has alleged that the FBI sought to spy on his campaign for political purposes, reported the Hill.
This apparently echoed his Saturday's rhetoric wherein, he took to Twitter and wrote, "If the FBI or DOJ was infiltrating a campaign for the benefit of another campaign, that is a really big deal," he tweeted. "Only the release or review of documents that the House Intelligence Committee (also, Senate Judiciary) is asking for can give the conclusive answers. Drain the Swamp!"
On Saturday Trump expressed that the Justice Department should release documents related to a top-secret FBI informant, who reportedly met with members of his campaign during the 2016 presidential election.
The informant who has been identified as an American academic, met with George Papadopoulos, Sam Clovis and Carter Page during the presidential race, according to several media reports.
However, the claim that the informant was advertently planted to spy on the campaign, has not been backed by any fact or evidence. (ANI)
