Washington D. C. [USA], Dec 04 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump will be in attendance at former President George H. W. Bush's funeral service on Wednesday (local time), although he will not deliver a eulogy.
According to the New York Post, the Bush family has chosen four eulogists at the service, former President and Bush's son George W. Bush, former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former Wyoming Republican Senator Alan Simpson and presidential historian Jon Meacham.
Trump will attend the ceremony on Wednesday morning in Washington's National Cathedral along with First Lady Melania.
Although Trump has often aimed criticisms towards the Bush family in the past, he has heaped praises on the 41st President since his death on November 30, according to the New York Times. Taking to his Twitter handle on Monday, Trump said, "Looking forward to being with the Bush Family to pay my respects to President George H.W. Bush."
Trump will meet the Bush family privately at the Blair House, the president's guest house, CNN reported.
White House officials confirmed to the Washington Post that the Trumps are also slated to visit the Capitol Building on Monday night, where Bush will continue to lie in state till the funeral service.
Incumbent Presidents have delivered eulogies for the last three presidents that have died.
George W. Bush eulogized Gerald Ford, who died in 2006 and Ronald Regan, who passed away in 2004. Bill Clinton had delivered a eulogy for Richard Nixon before that in 1994.
Bush, who served as the 41st President of the United States from 1989 to 1993, died at the age of 94 on Friday. (ANI)
