Trump calls for keeping America safe from radical Islamic terror

Washington D.C. [United States], Oct.20 (ANI): United States President Donald Trump on Friday called for keeping America safe "amid the spread of radical Islamic terror."

Trump tweeted this message following a report by the U.K.'s Office for National Statistics (ONS) that said crime in England and Wales had risen by 13 percent over the last year.

However, much of that was not related to terrorism.

"Just out report: 'United Kingdom crime rises 13% annually amid spread of Radical Islamic terror.' Not good, we must keep America safe!" Trump tweeted.

The report said, "of the 664 homicides recorded in the year ending June 2017, there were 35 relating to the London and Manchester terror attacks,"

The ONS report also said that the rise in violent offences was due to the addition of new crime recording categories such as "violence without injury" and "stalking and harassment."

Trump's tweet came after a second federal district judge had put the latest travel ban by his administration on hold. The judge allowed entry of individuals from Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and Chad. (ANI)
