White House

Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], August 21 (ANI): In a statement on Tuesday, White House announced the deportation of a former Nazi labour camp guard from his home in Queens, New York.
Jakiw Palij, who immigrated to the United States in 1949 and became a citizen in 1957 after concealing his Nazi background, was deported following the implementation of a 2004 deportation order by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), as reported by Fox News.
"Through extensive negotiations, President Trump and his team secured Palij's deportation to Germany and advanced the United States' collaborative efforts with a key European ally," read the statement.
In 2003, Palij admitted to Department of Justice officials about his training at the Nazi camp in German-occupied Poland.
The statement further read that, he served as an armed guard at the adjacent Trawniki Labor Camp - where roughly 6,000 Jews were shot to death.
The U.S. citizenship for the 95-year-old was revoked in 2003 by a federal judge and was supposed to be deported in 2004. (ANI)
