Washington D.C. [USA], Sept 21 (ANI): A woman went on a shooting rampage, killing three persons and injuring three others before turning the gun on herself at a drugstore distribution centre in Harford County, Maryland on Thursday.
In a press conference, Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler was quoted by CNN as saying that the woman, identified as Snochia Moseley from Baltimore County, was a temporary employee and came to work at the facility near Aberdeen. She then started shooting indiscriminately outside the building and on the warehouse floor, before committing suicide.
Earlier, Gahler had said that the woman was in custody and in critical condition in a hospital. However, he clarified that she died after shooting herself in the head.
Gahler further stated that the police are investigating the motive behind the shooting. He further said that no officers had fired retaliatory shots.
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center received four patients with "priority one gunshot wounds," spokeswoman Kristin Mears said. The hospital's trauma medical director, Ray Fang, stated that two of the victims were stable, while two others remain critically wounded. He added that all the four patients were out of surgery, the report said.
This is the third high-profile shooting in the United States in the last two days.
A shooter went on a rampage at a software office in Middleton town in Wisconsin, injuring three persons before the police fatally wounded him on Wednesday.
A person was killed and four others injured in a shooting incident at a magistrate's office building in Pennsylvania, officials said. (ANI)
