Ivanka Trump reportedly looking for new Chief of Staff

Washington D.C [USA], Jan 23 (ANI): The United States President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka is reportedly finding a new Chief of Staff of the White House after some reports emerged that the US President was unhappy with John Kelly's comments.

Gabriel Sherman, the author of Vanity Fair, quoted a Republican leader as saying,"Ivanka is also playing a central role in the search, quietly field-testing ideas with people. Ivanka is the most worried about it. She's trying to figure who replaces Kelly.'"

On being asked about Kelly's possible removal from the post, the Republican leader added, "He [Kelly] wants to stay longer than Reince [Priebus]" - Trump's first chief of staff.

The report also claimed that this may just be a "Sessions moment" - meaning that Trump may just be blowing off steam in an attempt to get Kelly in line.

Trump is reportedly furious after Kelly called him 'uninformed', in response to the promise of building the Mexico border wall during the election campaign last year.

Kelly said that the US President did not know what he was talking about and was changing statements every time for building the wall.

The US President, wrote a series of tweets on Thursday, "If there is no Wall, there is no Deal!"

"The Wall is the Wall, it has never changed or evolved from the first day I conceived of it. Parts will be, of necessity, see through and it was never intended to be built in areas where there is natural protection such as mountains, wastelands or tough rivers or water....", Trump wrote on Twitter.

"The Wall will be paid for, directly or indirectly, or through longer term reimbursement, by Mexico, which has a ridiculous $71 billion dollar trade surplus with the U.S. The $20 billion dollar Wall is "peanuts" compared to what Mexico makes from the U.S. NAFTA is a bad joke!", his tweet read.

He added that the US needed a wall to help stop the massive inflow of drugs and immigration from Mexico.

Trump's first chief of staff Reince Priebus held the post between January and July last year. He resigned last year over some sensitive news leaks from the White House. (ANI)
