Washington [USA], Nov 30 (ANI): The White House on Thursday announced that President Donald Trump will hold informal meetings with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and South Korean President Moon Jae-in on the sidelines of G20 summit in Argentina instead of the previously scheduled bilateral meetings.
The Hill quoted Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders saying that Trump's meeting with the two Presidents was changed to "pull-asides".
Sanders took to Twitter saying, "To be clear - the meetings with S. Korea and Turkey are still on the schedule and have not been canceled."
The move came US president called off his one-on-one meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Personally taking to Twitter, Trump said, "Based on the fact that the ships and sailors have not been returned to Ukraine from Russia, I have decided it would be best for all parties concerned to cancel my previously scheduled meeting in Argentina with President Vladimir Putin. I look forward to a meaningful Summit again as soon as this situation is resolved!"
However, US National security adviser (NSA) John Bolton on Tuesday said that President Trump will be attending a trilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi at the G20 summit in Argentina. (ANI)
