Washington DC [USA], Dec 6 (ANI): Former Miss Pakistan World Zanib Naveed died in a car crash in Maryland, US, Maryland State Police has said.
Naveed was driving a 2018 Mercedes CL2 on Sunday (December 1) in Prince George's County when she struck a curb and overturned her car into oncoming traffic, as per a statement by Maryland State Police.
"Shortly before 11:40 pm Sunday, troopers from the College Park Barrack responded on a report of an overturned vehicle in the area of Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) at the Inter-County Connector (MD Route 200)," the statement read.
"According to a preliminary investigation, a 2018 Mercedes CL2 driven by Zanib Naveed, 32, of Pomona, New York was traveling east on the Inter-County Connector, attempted to take the southbound curve to Route 1, struck the curb and overturned onto the northbound lanes of Route 1," it added.
Naveed was ejected from her vehicle and declared dead at the scene.
The New York resident was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the incident and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
