United States Senator from New York, Kirsten Gillibrand

Washington D.C. [USA], March 17 (ANI): Amid a long list of Democrats running for the White House, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on Sunday announced her candidacy for the 2020 presidential elections with a campaign video titled "Brave Wins."
According to CNN, the New York Democrat launched an exploratory campaign in January, announcing it on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," which is aired on CBS. She further divulged that she spent the past two months travelling to key states.
In the two-minute-long video released on Sunday, Gillibrand announced that she is running for the White House and the video ends with an invitation to join Gillibrand at the Trump International Hotel on March 24, where she plans to deliver "her positive, brave vision of restoring America's moral integrity straight to President Trump's doorstep."
In her video, Gillibrand said, "Our anthem calls America the home of the brave, but we don't realize that the lyrics first pose it as a question ... It asks, 'will brave win?' Well, it hasn't always and it isn't right now."
The 52-year-old is one of six women seeking the Democratic nomination and one of six senators running for president. She is scheduled to begin her official campaign with a trip to Michigan which was once a blue state that Democratic nominee and former first lady Hillary Clinton lost to incumbent US President Donald Trump.
Last year, Senator Gillibrand had openly called out Trump and asked him to step down from his position after he was accused of sexual abuse by several women. She was also at the receiving end of Trump's sexist comment.
"Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office 'begging' for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!" Trump had tweeted. (ANI)
