Turkey logs 7,666 new COVID-19 cases, 5,522,039 in total

Canadian Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu will be embarking on a visit to Mumbai from September 18-19 to strengthen Canada’s trade and investment relationship with India by advancing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

An Indian Parliamentary Delegation led by Harivansh,  Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, is participating in the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) being held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 12 to 19 September.

The WHO South-East Asia Region accounted for approximately 34 per cent of new TB cases globally in 2024, with an estimated 3.68 million cases and around 433,000 deaths. Around 150,000 people developed multidrug- and rifampicin-resistant TB, representing more than 38 per cent of the global burden.

Two people have allegedly been subjected to enforced disappearance in Balochistan, while five previously missing individuals have returned home. The cases highlight ongoing concerns over disappearances and reporting delays caused by fear and state pressure, according to The Balochistan Post.

In a press release issued on Tuesday, HRFP said its fact-finding team had documented a "troubling pattern" of targeted violence, discrimination, harassment and persecution against members of religious minority communities.
