Sushma Swaraj to embark on 4-day visit to Bulgaria, Morocco and Spain from Feb 16

New Delhi [India], Feb 14 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will undertake a four-day visit to Bulgaria, Morocco and Spain from February 16.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will undertake a four-fay visit to Bulgaria, Morocco and Spain from February 16 to 19

New Delhi [India], Feb 14 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will undertake a four-day visit to Bulgaria, Morocco and Spain from February 16.
She will first visit Bulgaria on February 16 and 17, MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar confirmed on Thursday.
“This visit will be a follow-up on the state visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to Bulgaria in September, last year. Significantly, this is the first-ever visit of an India External Affairs Minister to Bulgaria,” Kumar said.
During her stay in Bulgaria, the external affairs minister will meet Ekaterina Zaharieva, the country’s deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. The two leaders will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Swaraj will pay floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the South Park in Sofia.Swaraj will then visit Morocco on February 17 and 18, where she will meet Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Nasser Bourita.
The minister is also scheduled to call on Moroccan King Mohammed VI, Prime Minister Saad Dine El Otmani and Habib El Maliki, president of the Moroccan Parliament's Chamber of Representatives.She is also slated to interact with the Indian community in Rabat. 
“We expect to sign three MoUs during the visit, on counter-terrorism, housing and human settlement and youth matters,” Kumar said. In the final leg of her tour, the external affairs minister will visit Spain on February 18 and 19, where she will hold bilateral meetings with her counterpart, Josep Borrell.
Swaraj will also be conferred with the prestigious Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit by the Spanish government for India’s swift response through 'Operation Maitri' in rescuing 71 Spanish nationals from Nepal in April 2015 in the wake of the destructive earthquakes that hit the country.
The minister will also interact with the Indian community in Spain.“External Affairs Minister’s visit will strengthen India’s relations with these three countries, expand avenues of cooperation and provide an opportunity to discuss regional and global issues of importance,”  the MEA statement said.
