Morocco seizes 2.44 tonnes of cannabis

In its third sectoral report for 2025 on the Arab food and beverage sector, issued at its headquarters in the State of Kuwait today, Dhaman said that five Arab countries: Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Morocco and Qatar, attracted 421 FDI projects, making up 82 percent of the total, with Capex of more than US$17 billion, or 79 percent. These projects created 71000 jobs, accounting for 76 per cent of the total.

Tata Advanced Systems handed over the first batch of WhAP 8x8 armoured vehicles to the Royal Moroccan Army, marking a milestone in India-Morocco defence ties. The India-developed platform will be manufactured in Morocco and supplied under a major three-year defence contract.

The move on Thursday requires Attorney General Pam Bondi to expedite the process under the Drug Enforcement Administration for reclassifying marijuana.

The two four-storey buildings were located in the Al-Mustaqbal neighbourhood. As per Al Jazeera, a total of eight families were living in the buildings at the time of the collapse.

The talks reviewed mechanisms for capacity building, streamlined information sharing and cooperation in emerging domains. India reiterated its support to the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces through military training, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercises, specialised courses and professional military education.

The visit was part of regular bilateral consultations aimed at strengthening cooperation and building momentum for upcoming high-level engagements, the MEA said in a statement.

The Indian Army said in a tweet on X that the meeting covered ways to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation, enhance professional exchanges between the two forces and explore new areas for collaboration. Both sides also reviewed ongoing engagements between the Indian Army and the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.
